Technimount System Develops the Most Flexible Neonatal Transport Solution in North America

Quebec, QC, (March 10th, 2021) – Technimount System (Technimount), a manufacturer of mounting solutions for medical devices, unveiled today its much-anticipated Neonatal Transport System. A very first in North America, this multi-equipment concept improves equipment management in critical care neonatal transport.

This solution gives neonatal critical care transport teams the flexibility to configure their stretcher in line with their current protocols, using existing medical equipment. Previously impossible, Technimount’s Neonatal Transport System gives full access to medical device monitors and controls at all times during transport, making patient care more efficient.

Developed by Technimount in collaboration with the CISSS of Laurentides healthcare institutions (Quebec, Canada), this solution allows the system to be adapted to the specific and evolving needs of mobile neonatal critical care units. The Neonatal Transport System consists of a reinforced stretcher structure and adapted mounting solutions allowing the attachment of numerous medical devices and accessories required during neonatal critical care transfers. This system has been designed to offer flexibility of use and increased safety for staff and neonates. This solution allows neonatal critical care providers to easily install and remove medical devices from the stretcher, unlike some other options available on the market that involve permanent embedding of medical devices.

The Hôpital Laurentien becomes the first institution to benefit from this innovation in North America. This system provides neonatal critical care units with greater autonomy, enhanced staff safety during transport, secure medical device management, and improved response times.
